MFA - Manage Factors

This article explains how to manage and update your Microsoft account security information and MFA contact methods to ensure secure access to Clark University resources.

Pre-requisites

ITS strongly recommends using the Microsoft Authenticator app as the primary factor/contact method for your Clark account. This app can be added to multiple devices, such as smart phones or tablets. For security purposes, do not add the Microsoft Authenticator app to shared devices.
You will need to authenticate into your account to change your MFA factors. Keep your phone nearby.
If you cannot access your MFA contact method (for example, if you no longer have access to the phone number associated with your account), please contact the ITS Help Desk below to reset your MFA .

Instructions

In your internet browser, navigate to mysignins.microsoft.com
Sign into your Clark account using your full email address and password.
Authenticate into your account using your existing MFA.
In the left pane, click Security info.
Change, delete, or add MFA contact methods as necessary.
Log out of your Microsoft account once you’ve made any necessary changes.
