Calls and Call History
Microsoft Teams syncs with the same calendar as Microsoft Outlook. This means incoming calls can be affected by meetings on your calendar.
- In Microsoft Teams, in Settings > Notifications and activity > Sound there is an option to "Play sounds when I'm busy or in a meeting". This is off by default.
- When disabled, you can set meetings in your calendar to show as "Busy" and silence new incoming calls.
- These silenced calls however will only show a message on your desktop with no ringtone.
- To fully silence incoming calls, you can use one of the forwarding options below or set your Teams status to Do Not Disturb.

ITS Recommendation
- Add a maximum of 5 people to a call group.
- The caller on the other end of the line will hear 20 seconds of ringing for each person in the group if the call is not answered, which can deter them from leaving a voicemail.
